For us travellers, whether it be winter or summer, or anywhere in between, trips are a million times better when we can take our fur babies. So why not make bringing your best friend along with you easier by checking out these amazing dog friendly campsites around our beautiful country.

Piel Island

Starting the list with something a bit different than your average campsite is Piel Island. This ENTIRE island (yes you read that correctly), is situated half a mile off the southern tip of the Furness Peninsula in Cumbria. Although only accessible by a small boat, don’t let that distract you from the 14th century castle ruins making it the optimal camping spot for your entire family.

Camusdarach

Moving a little farther north we bring you to Camusdarach. This Beautiful beachside campsite is located between Mallaig and Arisaig with beautiful views all along the way due to being situated in one of the most picturesque parts of the Scottish Highlands. Family owned, with a small shop on site, 3 beaches, sand dunes and a lot more, we agree that this is one of the best campsites you can enjoy with your family.

Camping starts at £10 per tent or £5 per person per night. Dogs are free.

Higher Harlyn Park St Merryn, Padstow, Cornwall

Jumping all the way down south to Cornwall this beautiful oceanside campsite is filled with all the amenities you need including a restaurant, pool, bar, play equipment, salon and much more. Not only that but this great site also offers a great range of activities for you whole family including surfing lessons, golf, camel riding and tonnes of walking trails.

Camping starts at £10 per night (seasonal) and dogs are £3 each (limited to 2 dogs)

Nicholaston Farm

Venturing to Wales, Nicholaston farm is located on the Gower Peninsula with access to heaps of great coastal walking tracks and access the many beautiful beaches. This great location caters for campervans, motorhomes, caravans and tents. Don’t let the serenity fool you though, there are many activities available in the area to get the blood pumping like surfing, boogie boarding and stand up paddle boarding.

Riddings Wood

This eco-friendly site is situated just out of Ridding on 11 acres of beautiful woodland making it the perfect spot for not just you, but your furry friend too. Riddings Wood offers all types of sites from stand-alone pitch sites all the way up to fully serviced pitches.
